Just arrived home from a very long and rain soaked day at Brands Hatch.
The final round of the championship saw Ryuichi Kiyonari take the championship crown from 2005 Champion Gregorio Lavilla.
Leon Haslam did a fantastic job finishing second in race one, after a red flag ended what could possibly have been a race win for the young Brit. A faultless race win in race two was not enough, as he needed Kiyonari to finish off the podium in order to clinch the title.
Race one was red flagged after Rizla Suzuki rider Shane Byrne, took a tumble in the wet after touching the white line on the exit of Paddock Hill bend. The rider was unhurt but suffering from a concussion, was excluded from race two.
Race two also ended in a red flag after Tommy Hill, on his Virgin Mobile Yamaha had a coming together with a tyre wall. Rider was okay.
Unfortunately TV schedules and torrential rain meant for the cancellation of the second of two Supersport races. Also the 125cc race was cut short along with the National Superstock race.

Not the greatest day to be a spectator but a days racing nonetheless!

Bit rubbish really wasn't it? A massive Anti-Climax...

Congratulations to Kiyo though, 11 wins out of 24, pretty impressive.
