We at MP Racing will be campaigning a Ducati 1098 S in the 2007 British Superstock Championship. We get the bike in the next few weeks so keep your eyes open for some more pictures.

i've always been more of a fan of the 748/916/996/998 style, but i gotta admit, that does look pretty damn good! definately a lot better than the 999. oh, can anyone else see a slight hint of mv agusta in that seat unit?

ugly...now even ducati's gonna look the same as other manufacturers...this is like a crossing between ducati (especially the frame), yamaha and a triumph.

lol adam. Maybe I am, but it's just not my opinion, and im not such a fan of most of the 2000+ looks.

But I believe when Stu has made a design, it will look mucho betteros!

lol it hardly looks like the 675! Hehe

I think it's a pure cross between the 998 and the 999. Smile Both beautiful IMO anyway! Put 'em together and you get the 1098! Shame it's not gonna be used in WSB next year Sad Or is it...?

The front really does look like a fat 675, like the front of the Desmo RR looks like the ZX10R aswell. Also the seat unit has a very Aprilia look to it. They made a unique bike and everyone slaged it off and didn't buy it, now they've made it look like everything else and everyone is slagging it off and probably won't buy it.

What I hate about the bike though is not the bike itself but Ducati blaming Terblanche for the poor sales of the 999 and stating that he had no part in the design in the press which is pretty much humiliating him and that isn't fair, especially as the Sport Classics are thier best selling bikes this year. It's quite sickening but it's the Ducati attitude of 'it's not our fault', they try to pass the flack on to someone else.

sounds like the Gibernau stories lol.
thanks u recognize what i ment Bob.
It's not that I hate ducati, but u have to say, this one looks even more like the bikes like other manufacturers superbikes.

the 998 was a unique Ducati bike, the 999 was still a real Ducati, but this 1098 looks just more like 'the other ones'. Imagine how next ducati bikes look like.

but all seen from my eyes though. And tastes are different, keep that in mind.
