Its not as much fun as you'd imagine, right now ive just finished masking up panels (which ive only just got my hands on, 4 days from the race) to size all the vinyls etc, i dont actually know how much the painter has painted, weathers hes done the plates or not.

So 2moro, im gonna be paying for a full set of vinyls to be produced for this bike, hoping that where ive sized it up, matches the painters interprtation of my design, im stressed and surrounded by first mould (bad quality) black 1098 panels.

On the other hand, on monday ill be on pit wall, shouting at michael (regardless of the fact he can't hear me). Its all worth it in the end.

You should get a own vinyl cutter that way better also easier to make money selling stickers. You can buy a brand new one for few thousand bucks or buy a old a1 od a3 plotter for 100 or 200 bucks and exchange the markers with a cutting blade.

I actually wanted to start a vinyl company for making replica stickers but after looking at the space i need its bit hard. My bedroom isnt big info for a cutter and rolls of various colors of vinyl.

Plus in holland its hard to find a old plotter.

i have 2 guys who make me all my vinyls for cheap, they do what i need and they do it quick, if i could offord the machinery, i'd buy it.

Looks very nice and clean from the top and front. The side it looks a little cluttered in the centre with Pipercorss, Metzeler and Shell stickers so close together as it seems to ruin the nice lines of the paint. Would look spot on other then that, the veiw from the front already is.

One thing I'd love to see on a modern Ducati, something which Carrachi didn't get perfect when they tried it, the silver and sea green combo. They got the fairing almost right but the frame and wheels where black which didn't set it off the way it would.

Our sponsors have actually changed today, Motul is now in place of Shell.
Metzeller i believe has moved, mainly due to the fact the race bodywork is slightly different dimensions to the road stuff.

As of this point, the free upgrades isnt on the bike either as we haven't seen the funding from them.

Was all finished off today, ive not seen her yet though, i have been ensured by the guys at Rage Designs that the bike looks awesome.

Cant wait till monday...

Stu

Be nice to see some pics of the finished bike sans sponsor stickers, unless they're already on there. Wink

Well the Ducati let us down.

The 2 days of qualifying didnt go to plan for the MP Racing Ducati 1098, the bike repeatedly drifted off line out of corners, top speed was poor which left michael without a grid position. Qualifying just outside the 40 rider cutoff, MP Racing will be leaving brands hatch dis-heartened but hopefull that something we can do will allow us to be competative at thruxton.

So i've still not seen the bike as i won't be attended the Brands Raceday, so i guess all thats left to say is Happy Easter...

really like the design, great job!!

But seeing this bike more and more, I start disliking it more and more. Ducati used to make nice looking bikes, this one is butt ugly imo.

Imo Stu's design deserves better than this bike

It's a beautiful bike in the flesh.

Real shame the bike let you down Stu. Is it too late to switch now? You could probably get a Honda or Suzuki if you sold that one... I'm sure it just needs a little work though.

Good luck for Thruxton.
