Hello everyone,

well, as many other racer's here I've played the
game when it was released.
back in the good old 500cc (2!) stroke dyes.

My old On line Racing nick was "Prowler". (from israel)

And I have wanted to make a come back, many times.
But ,my game disk updates, skins, the lot, got lost Rolling Eyes
the CD just stop working.. (100 year of backup integrity - yeah right!)

Finally about 2 weeks ago after extensive searching
and begging for people to upload the game I've finally got it.

and for the sake of this post,
I've found my old ICQ# To! (81061022) Smile
so if anyone remembers me replay here.

(Stu Actually remembers me.) Shocked
dam what a memory, i barely remember myself. lol

So guys, now I'm wondering what GP mod to install,
and i was wandering if there is a way to keep my original game
side by side with the mode, and what mod is most popular for on line gaming?
(and how do you race on line, i couldn't find any servers.)

Best regards,
Prowler

(Israel)

PS. this is my new ICQ# 146478669. Very Happy

welcome back m8 Wink

there are two ways:

1) install the original game, then rename the Microprose\ program folder to say, GP500_98\
then reinstall the game, and install your bikeset/updates inside the new Microprose\ folder
you can rename it and reinstall again, but this method takes up alot more space...

2) use the GP500 DataSwitcher program available already for download, which can do the hard work for you Wink

i dont trust the Switchers so i still rename all the folders myself lol

Tank you Smile

I used the method of backing up the game's folder.
Now i got 2 of them, 1 modded & 1 original.
