Favourite Season:

World Superbikes -
Undoubtedly 1997 when John Kocinski on the RC45 Honda rubbed Carl Fogarty's ugly mug firmly in the dirt where it belongs! Laughing
An absolute classic & an utter joy to behold.....................................

GP500 -
Probably 1989 when Eddie Lawson switched to Honda and took the championship for the second year running but on a different motorcycle
- an absolute gem from the golden age featuring all the likely culprits including Lawson, Rainey, Gardner and Schwantz.

MotoGP -
I think maybe this year. Certainly either this year or last year with Rossi on the Yamaha. Modern era classics!

Anglo American Match Races (the what? lol) - Best of all time

1976 with Steve Baker on the wheelie happy 0W31 750cc Yamaha Motors Canada machine winning 4 out of 6 races against the likes of Sheene and Kenny Roberts.........what a paint scheme! Wink

Favourite Race:

WSB 1997 Dutch TT with Kocinski coming from behind to scyth through the field and pass Fogarty with ease with 2 laps to go. Truly superb.

GP500:
Too many to contemplate really but any number of close finishes between Schwantz, Rainey, Doohan, Gardner at various tracks. Impossible really to choose a single race.

MotoGP:
Got to be Rossi's first win on the Yamaha for sheer guts and winning first time out despite the odds.

Favourite Rider of all time? Difficult but perhaps Lawson for me. And in world Superbikes the one & only Scott Russell. No contest.

MotoGP: There's really only one isn't there?

Favourite Bike:
KR 750cc Kawasaki from the late 70's or the OW31 Yamaha.
Modern era: Cagiva C594 500cc Grand Prix bike.

Favourite Team:
Yamaha

Favorite Race was when Agostini came over to Austalia with his works bike and raced at an Airfield against many AUssie and overseas riders.

We paid a fortune for Grandstand tickets but soon abandoned it, koined the "mob" and crept closer and closer to the edge of the track as the race progressed.

THe MV sounded brilliant at full throttle and there was a race long dual with Ken Blake, one of the best racers I have ever seen.

Blake beat him and the huge crowd started chanting "Blakey beat the Wog. Blakey beat the Wog!"

AGO was wonderfull and spent heaps of time with the crown signing autographs.

Best looking race bike would have to be the current Moriwaki GP bike.

Favorite rider of all time is Greg Hansford. Pure talent and a nice bloke as well.

Fav' Races:
MotoGP:
Mugello 2004 (no doubt about it: nearly 30 changes of leaders in the 2 parts!!!)
Welkom 2004
Mugello and Phillip Island 2005 (it's the same race: Rossi in front, a great ride of a Respol rider in second place, the 3rd: a Ducati rider despite a good ride of Melandri >> out of the podium in the last corner)

500:
Welkom 2000
Phillip Island 2000 and 2001
Valencia 1999

250:
Donington 2000 (what a come back from Waldmann on OJ: he was 1'30" behind him at mid-race and took the lead in the last corner)!!!
Donington 2005

125:
Every race! Laughing But especially the Turkish GP in 2005 >> France powa Wink

Fav' Season: 2000: the unbelievable slides of Garry McCoy Razz , the 1st one of Rossi on a 500, some good races from Barros, Biaggi, Checa, Capirossi (f...: Jr won the title Confused )

Fav' Bike: Yamaha YZR 500 Red Bull (too beautiful!!! Razz )

Fav' Team/Rider: Garry McCoy when he was in 500, Tamada for his style in corners, maybe Melandri & Hayden now

Also to add for my favourite race, 125 Mugello 05, Kallio and Faubel going down at the last corner, leaving Talmacsi for the win

And 125 Qatar 05, Talmacsi right at the end slipstreaming down the straight
